Collection Drives
Peanut Butter Drive:
Students, within their houses, compete against each other to collect the most jars of peanut butter during the Peanut Butter Drive. All jars are donated to the Our Daily Bread Food Pantry at Catholic Charities.
Canned Food Drive:
A canned food drive is typically held right before Thanksgiving break. The canned food drive is a competition between houses, and incentives for different amounts of cans collected are typically offered. The collection is then donated to Our Daily Bread Food Pantry at Catholic Charities.
Walk in Sister's Shoes Campaign:
The Walk in Sister's Shoes Campaign is a fundraising effort for the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Education Fund. The fund provides financial support to those parishes that struggle financially to carry out the mission of Catholic education in a parish school, thereby helping to make education available to all families, regardless of financial status. This campaign includes a variety of events aimed at collecting money, often including spirit days, a pep rally and Penny Wars. For the Penny Wars, students brought in change to put in their class's jar, earning them positive points, and bills to put in other class's jars, earning them negative points. Incentives are often available at students reach benchmarks throughout the fundraiser.
